Job description

Department: Facility Maintenance Department
FLSA Status: Hourly $25-35 per hour

Dyson Corporation is a leading U.S. manufacturer of large specialty fasteners and forgings used across major industries, including heavy construction, infrastructure, power generation, renewable energy, marine and military, locks and dams, mining, oil and gas, bridge projects, and general distribution.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Electrician to inspect, test, dismantle, repair, and make mechanical and electrical repairs to all types of electrical equipment including circuitry, AC & DC motors, cables, lines, insulators, conduit, circuit breakers, electronic controls, control panels, starters, switches, wire and fittings, hardware. Plant and production equipment such as cranes, air compressors, grinders and welders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs work requiring a thorough working knowledge of mechanical and electrical ability to use the tools of the trade.
  • Inspect and test equipment to determine extent of damage and nature of repair required.
  • Analyze all types of drawings and wiring diagrams to determine material or replacement
  • Plans details of working procedure and determines tools and material requirements.
  • Ability to locate the source of trouble in electrical equipment or apparatus by tracing and testing circuits and inspection for mechanical failure.
  • Must strictly adhere to established safety regulations especially pertaining to practices, tools, and equipment related to the trade and various area in which work is being performed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Safety Requirements:

  • Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Maintain awareness around hot metal, heavy machinery, and mobile equipment.
  • Inspect tools, dies, forklifts, and PPE before use.

Required qualifications:

  • A two-year technical degree or equivalent training attained through hands on work related work experience
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a maintenance electrician in a manufacturing environment

Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of forging presses, CNC Machines and or induction heat-treating furnaces
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify and address workflow issues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting team goals.
