What can you expect?

As the Program Manager, you will work on-site in Anchorage and lead the capture, execution, and growth of work associated with the Donlin Gold Project. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new opportunities, building and leading high-performing project teams, and delivering complex work safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Also, you will work alongside representatives from Calista and Calista Brice and will foster strong relationships with the client, partners, and community representatives while ensuring alignment with project goals and long-term strategic objectives.

How will you do it?

  • In conjunction with the Environmental BU executive team, develop overall directions to guide planning at the service, client and contract level.
  • Ensure business development and program delivery efforts stay aligned to strategic goals.
  • Ensure programs meet the expected goals and deliver the planned benefits.
  • Identify, analyze and prepare for program risks and ensure compliance with quality, safety and security processes.
  • Support policies and procedures of the organization to enhance overall operation and effectiveness with Safety as a primary focus.
  • Identify and manage conflicts and support a high-performance team environment where diversity is valued, and people are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Provide direct input by generating leads and providing technical support for proposal development.
  • Collaborate with various groups within Calista, Bilista and multiple client organizations.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has supervisory responsibilities to include but is not limited to Environmental Scientists, Engineers, Chemists, Technicians, and Project Managers within the Environmental Business Unit.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experienced leader with appropriate industry experience.
  • Strategic thinker with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and operational focus.
  • Desire and drive to develop and grow an expanding environmental services portfolio.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules governing environmental projects and programs.
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to deal effectively with a variety of interpersonal relationships and situations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in an Alaska Native Corporation multi-business environment.

Who is Brice Engineering looking for?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering discipline.
  • Ten or more years of proven experience in environmental services, leading projects/programs in excess of $50M.
  • Valid state driver's license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Brice Engineering's Driving Policy.
  • Ability to pass a drug, driving and background screenings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five or more years' experience in developing complex infrastructure in mining-related projects is preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Brice Engineering has a fast-paced multi-tasking office environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. At times, work is performed outside of the office at indoor and outdoor job sites. Adaptability regarding schedule and design changes, and occasional overtime for immediate field support or bid processing may be necessary.
