Barrel One Collective (B1C) is looking for an experienced and driven Senior Controller to join our growing finance leadership team. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on accounting and finance professional who thrives in fast-paced operational environments and wants to help shape the future of an evolving craft beverage, hospitality, and manufacturing organization. The Senior Controller will partner closely with executive leadership and operational teams across brewery, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, and distribution operations to ensure strong financial controls, accurate reporting, operational visibility, and long-term financial health.
If you enjoy building systems, solving problems, improving processes, and helping leadership make informed business decisions - while working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment - we'd love to talk.
About Barrel One Collective
Barrel One Collective is a dynamic craft beverage and hospitality company rooted in New England beer culture and built around iconic brands, memorable experiences, and operational excellence. Our portfolio includes breweries, restaurants, taprooms, beer gardens, retail operations, and distribution partnerships across multiple states. We're passionate about creating great products, unforgettable hospitality experiences, and a workplace where people genuinely enjoy what they do.
What You'll Do
Financial Leadership & Reporting
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Analyze financial performance, including budget-to-actual reporting and operational variance analysis
  • Support leadership decision-making through accurate financial insights and reporting
  • Assist in long-range planning, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management
  • Oversee company liquidity reporting and banking relationships
Operational & Strategic Partnership
  • Partner with department leaders across hospitality, manufacturing, retail, and operations
  • Help identify operational efficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvements
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets and financial performance metrics
  • Support strategic growth initiatives, capital projects, and operational planning
Accounting & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax partners, banking institutions, and insurance providers
  • Oversee tax planning support, audit preparation, and employee benefit audit coordination
  • Ensure compliance with insurance coverage requirements including liability, workers compensation, and cyber security policies
  • Review contracts and agreements from a financial and risk-management perspective
ERP & Systems Management
  • Oversee and optimize ERP and financial reporting systems
  • Support process automation, reporting improvements, and operational system integration
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to improve inventory, cost accounting, and financial visibility
  • Experience with Deacom ERP or similar manufacturing ERP systems strongly preferred
Team Leadership
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff
  • Help build a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-oriented finance culture
  • Improve workflows, reporting timelines, and cross-functional communication
  • Lead with professionalism, urgency, accuracy, and adaptability
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5-7+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
  • Experience managing audits, tax coordination, and external financial relationships
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
Preferred Experience
  • CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
  • Manufacturing, beverage, brewery, hospitality, consumer products, or distribution experience highly preferred
  • Cost accounting and inventory accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Deacom, SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar platforms
  • Experience supporting multi-location operations preferred
  • Passion for craft beer, hospitality, and entrepreneurial businesses is a plus
The Ideal Candidate
You are analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized - but also practical, adaptable, and solutions-focused. You know how to balance accuracy with urgency and can comfortably move between strategic conversations and hands-on operational execution. You enjoy improving systems, building processes, and helping teams succeed through strong financial leadership. You're confident working independently, but collaborative enough to thrive in a highly cross-functional environment where no two days look exactly the same.
Why Join Barrel One Collective?
  • Competitive salary: $90,000-$120,000
  • Opportunity to help shape a growing and evolving organization
  • Highly visible leadership role with direct operational impact
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture
