Job description

Summary The Part-Time packaging operator is responsible for running packaging equipment safely and efficiently and must work as part of a collective team to meet daily production demands. The Packaging Operator is responsible for ensuring quality control specifications are met, controlled, and documented throughout a packaging run. The packaging operator is also responsible for general cleanliness and upkeep of the packaging area. Must be detail orientated and hardworking. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, stand for prolonged periods of time, and perform repetitive movements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work closely with and gain a clear functional understanding of packaging equipment and procedures.
  • Participate in pre and post production setup and cleanup.
  • Be an active participant for the entire duration of the production run.
  • Maintain daily production records.
  • Perform basic quality control checks.
  • Learn and comply with standard operating procedures.
  • Perform variety pack operations as needed.
  • Comply with all company policies.
  • Aid in training when applicable.
  • Communicate effectively and work well with other departments.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Adhere to brewery safety standards.
