Ohalo Boosted Breeding platform enables true hybrid seed to be produced for crop markets that have never had seed before, starting with potato. We're seeking a Global Crop Product Manager to coordinate go-to-market execution, sitting at the intersection of Breeding, Sales, Channel Management, Regulatory, and Seed Production and Supply Chain to turn breeding progress into varieties growers plant in the field and the food supply chain will adopt.

  • Collaborate with Breeding to maintain visibility into the pipeline, ensuring product roadmaps and commercial strategies are aligned.
  • Manage the seamless hand-off of commercial variety selections from Breeding to Commercial teams, ensuring alignment on launch objectives and execution.
  • Align product launches with the regulatory and variety registration status in each country.

Go-to-Market & Launch

  • Lead go-to-market planning for new varieties, from pre-commercial readiness through scaled launch.
  • Build variety positioning and launch plans, and partner with Sales and Channel Management to drive grower adoption.
  • Coordinate go-to-market timing with variety registration and IP milestones owned by Breeding.
  • Develop and maintain key marketing and sales enablement collateral, including product sheets and value propositions, ensuring consistent messaging across market-facing materials.

Pricing & Forecasting

  • Own pricing strategy in partnership with Commercial Finance, balancing market timing, volume, margin, and grower economics.
  • Own demand forecasting, aligning Seed Production and Supply Chain to market demand.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the bridge between Breeding, Sales, Channel Management, Regulatory, and Supply Chain.
  • Serve as the voice of the grower internally, feeding field and market feedback into breeding and product priorities.

Candidate Profile

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, or commercial strategy, strong preference in agriculture inputs/seed.
  • Track record bringing innovative products into new categories or markets
  • Track record leading cross-functional programs from concept to commercial launch.
  • Ability to translate agronomic data into commercial strategy, pricing, and positioning.
  • Strong competency leveraging AI tools to analyze data, generate content, and manage basic workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication across technical and commercial audiences.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment.
  • Willingness to travel to trial sites, growers, and partner locations (estimate 15-30%, varies seasonally).

Bonus Points For

  • Experience launching new seed varieties
  • Experience with pricing, demand forecasting, or portfolio/roadmap analytics tools.
  • Potato production knowledge

The anticipated base pay range for this role is $150,000 - $250,000 per year for our South San Francisco, CA location.
