To thrive as a Breeding Manager, you need in-depth knowledge of animal genetics, breeding protocols, and reproductive health, usually supported by a degree in animal science or a related field. Familiarity with breeding management software, genetic evaluation tools, and record-keeping systems is commonly required. Strong leadership, organizational abilities, and effective communication are essential soft skills for managing teams and coordinating breeding programs.
