Job description

**Shift: (Start time : 6 -8am ) 10 hr Shift.Duration: 6 Months Contract Position **

Job Summary

The Extractor /Wash Technician is responsible for performing blood extraction from horseshoe crabs and processing biological materials in a sterile manufacturing environment. This role involves inspecting crabs, collecting blood samples, preparing and processing materials, preparing saline and NEM solutions, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with company procedures, cGMP standards, and FDA regulations. The position also supports daily cleaning and sanitation activities while adhering to all safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

โ€ข Inspect and verify crabs for injuries and unresponsiveness prior to blood extraction.โ€ข Extract blood from racked crabs using a 12 gauge needleโ€ข Collect blood into bottles and deliver to the laboratory.โ€ข Daily housekeeping responsibilities including but not limited to: cleaning walls, floor and tables within the tent area.โ€ข Responsible for proficiency in all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in areas of responsibility.โ€ข Responsible for documentation as required by company policy, cGMP and FDA.โ€ข Perform all other related duties as assigned.
