Breast ultrasound jobs are positions that conduct or interpret breast diagnostic imaging procedures on patients. Procedures include mammography, radiology, and sonography; the imaging is used to check for lumps, cancer, and other abnormalities. A breast ultrasound technician, sometimes known as a technologist, operates an ultrasound machine that takes images of the breasts for diagnostic purposes, taking note of abnormalities they find during imaging, and assisting with analyzing the results. As a breast radiologist, your responsibilities include analyzing ultrasounds and offering a patient diagnosis based on the images captured by the machines. Breast ultrasound positions can be either part-time or full-time and are found in hospitals, doctor’s offices, or other medical facilities.
