Job description

We are hiring Smiling & Hospitable Breakfast Servers! Excellent hourly pay plus tips! Position Profile Provide prompt and courteous food and beverage service to restaurant customers, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience. Essential Responsibilities Greet customers, take food and drink orders, and serve the orders while accommodating special requests. Remain attentive throughout the dining experience, adhering to or exceeding restaurant service standards. Complete restocking and cleaning duties, including opening and closing side‐work as instructed. Memorize menu items, recipes and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations. Maintain cleanliness standards in the restaurant, wait‐station and kitchen service area to satisfy state and local health board requirements. Control guest checks, following established check‐use procedures and documenting all required information legibly. Receive proper payment from guests, ensuring accuracy of guest check and method of payment. Attend all pre‐meal and departmental meetings to enhance communication and product knowledge. Respond to customer inquiries and comments in person and on the phone with timely, knowledgeable service. Present a clean, professional appearance and maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times. Use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful situations. Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High school education or equivalent experience. Three to six months of experience in a food/beverage service environment. Vision ability to clearly see detailed guest checks and observe the restaurant in dimly lit conditions. Tip certification. Manual coordination to operate button‐punching, grasp items, and balance/carry trays loaded with food and beverages. Ability to read, speak, and understand English. Physical Demands Able to lift, push, and carry 20–40lbs.; stand continuously for long periods; communicate information and hotel services to management, staff, and guests.
