What is branding?

Branding jobs focus on creating an image for a company or product. Their duties are to create the idea of a brand and to find ways to communicate this concept or vision for marketing or advertising purposes. A primary goal of professionals in this field is to increase brand or company recognition within the target market. These jobs may involve conducting market research to find data about a customer base. Creative team members make images, taglines, and marketing campaigns that match the brand image. The responsibilities of directors could include overseeing all aspects of a marketing project.

What is branding and why is it important?

Branding is the process of creating a unique identity, image, and perception for a business, product, or service in the minds of consumers. It involves elements like logos, colors, messaging, and the overall customer experience. Strong branding helps a business stand out from competitors, build trust with customers, and foster loyalty over time. It also communicates the values and personality of the company, influencing how people perceive and engage with it. Effective branding can ultimately drive growth and long-term success.

How does a branding professional typically collaborate with other departments within an organization?

Branding professionals frequently work cross-functionally, partnering with marketing, product development, sales, and design teams to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand message across all channels. They may participate in strategy meetings, provide brand guidelines, and review materials created by other departments to ensure brand alignment. Strong communication and project management skills are important, as branding experts often coordinate campaigns, manage feedback, and facilitate training sessions for staff on brand standards.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a branding specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Branding Specialist, you need a strong understanding of marketing principles, brand strategy, and visual identity, often supported by a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Familiarity with design software (such as Adobe Creative Suite), digital marketing tools, and brand analytics platforms is typically required. Creativity, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills help differentiate top performers in this role. These capabilities are crucial for building compelling brand identities that resonate with audiences and drive business growth.

Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner takes on expanded ownership of the recruitment function at TaxRise, going beyond full-cycle recruiting to help govern how the company shows up across every hiring channel. This role monitors application flow and manages budget on Indeed, audits job descriptions and live postings for accuracy, reviews requisition requests from hiring managers, and ensures every opening follows the proper approval workflow before it goes live on Indeed, LinkedIn, and the Career website. The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner assists in driving employer branding initiatives, partners closely with managers across the business to influence hiring strategy, and occasionally supports recruiting for technical or credentialed roles.

We're all about that in-person vibe - this role is 100% on-site! If you're excited to work side-by-side with our team (or are ready to make the move), then you're a perfect fit. If not, we kindly ask you to hold off on applying. Thanks for understanding and happy job hunting!

HOW YOU'LL BE REWARDED

At TaxRise, Inc., we believe in rewarding hard work and dedication! We offer our team members competitive pay and the opportunity to grow professionally in a mission-driven environment.

  • Base pay: $85,000 - $95,000 per year
  • Average monthly bonus: $750- $1,000 per month

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Own Full-Cycle Recruitment & Strategy

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned roles, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to build strong, diverse talent pipelines
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, align on requirements, and guide informed hiring decisions
  • Occasionally support recruiting efforts for technical or credentialed roles across the organization

Job Postings & Multi-Channel Management

  • Review job descriptions and live postings for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company standards before and after publishing
  • Ensure every requisition follows the proper approval workflow and is posted correctly across Indeed, LinkedIn, the Career website, and other channels
  • Serve as a quality checkpoint for postings across the ATS, catching errors before they reach candidates

Manage Indeed Performance & Budget

  • Monitor application flow and posting performance on Indeed, identifying and troubleshooting drop-offs or underperformance
  • Monitor Indeed budget for your assigned roles, including sponsored job spend, to maximize application volume and cost efficiency
  • Report on Indeed metrics and recommend adjustments to improve ROI

Review Requisitions & Partner with Hiring Managers

  • Review job requisition requests from hiring managers for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with headcount approvals
  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify role scope, must-have qualifications, and hiring timelines
  • Provide regular updates on requisition status and pipeline health

Drive Employer Branding

  • Lead and support employer branding initiatives that strengthen TaxRise's presence on LinkedIn, Indeed, and other platforms
  • Craft engaging job postings and content that reflect company culture and attract diverse, high-quality candidates
  • Partner with Marketing and People Operations on branding campaigns as needed

Lead, Influence & Provide Backup Coverage

  • Serve as backup to the Talent Acquisition Manager during vacations, leave, or periods of high volume, ensuring continuity of team operations
  • Act as a trusted partner and change agent across departments, influencing hiring strategy and process improvements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience preferably in fast-growth, sales organizations
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and auditing job postings for accuracy across multiple channels (ATS, job boards, career site)
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers on requisition intake and approval workflows
  • Strong understanding of recruitment strategy, sourcing techniques, and employer branding best practices
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and drive change without direct authority
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (Greenhouse preferred) and recruitment marketing platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to operate with autonomy and step into a leadership/backup role when needed

We understand potential comes in many forms. Even if you don't check every box, we still encourage you to apply; we consider all qualified candidates.
