OverviewAs an Intern, you will be part of the team from day one and given training and tasks that are important and impactful to our projects' success. The HR Intern will assist our HR team with onboarding, event coordination, and HR administration.
Success in this role depends on the Intern’s initiative and teamwork skills. A successful Intern will be able to take ownership of recruitment branding and a foster relationships throughout the organization.
McKenney's has a long history of success in hiring Co-ops and supporting their evolution into industry leaders. Many of our current senior leaders began their journey in the Co-op program.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for Co-ops and Interns, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, career fairs, and applicant management.
  • Execute semester onboarding activities, including scheduling drug tests, sending first-day instructions, preparing orientation materials, and coordinating logistics across ATL and CLT offices.
  • Assist in semester-long engagement initiatives, including trainings, social events, and leadership networking.
  • Develop and distribute communications, including a monthly Co-op & Intern newsletter and program branding on Handshake and LinkedIn.

RequirementsEducation and Experience:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
  • Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software  
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Canva Experience
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment. 
  • No or limited exposure to physical risk. Occasional jobsite visits that require the physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs and ladders, passenger use of construction personnel hoists and ability to negotiate work areas under construction 
  • Light physical effort handling average weight objects up to 25 pounds may be required occasionally.
