Branded Content Project Manager information

What is a branded content project manager?

A Branded Content Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, creation, and execution of branded content campaigns for clients or an organization. They act as the main point of contact between clients, creative teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that content aligns with brand objectives and audience needs. Their tasks often include managing project timelines, budgets, creative approvals, and performance reporting. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and creative skills to successfully deliver engaging and effective branded content.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a branded content project manager?

A Branded Content Project Manager should possess strong project management abilities, a solid understanding of content marketing, and experience in client relations, often supported by a relevant bachelor's degree. Familiarity with project management tools (such as Asana or Trello), digital analytics platforms, and content management systems is typically required. Excellent communication, creativity, and organizational skills help individuals excel when coordinating between clients, creative teams, and stakeholders. These competencies are vital for delivering high-quality branded content on time and within budget, ensuring client satisfaction and successful campaign outcomes.

Marketing & Content Specialist

Location: Midland or Troy, Michigan

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Salary Range:$75,000 to $85,000 annually, based on location, experience, and qualifications

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative, resourceful, and highly organized Marketing & Content Specialist to build and strengthen our company’s marketing presence.

This is a hands-on content-development role for someone who can take ideas from concept through completion. Because we currently have a limited library of marketing content, this individual will play an important role in developing our brand voice, creating original content, establishing reusable marketing assets, and introducing consistent marketing processes.

The Marketing & Content Specialist will create written and visual content for LinkedIn, our company website, sales presentations, proposals, case studies, and other marketing and business-development materials. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership, sales, and internal subject-matter experts to turn company knowledge, technical information, and project experience into clear and compelling communications.

This position is well suited to a strong writer and visual communicator who enjoys building something new and producing polished, professional work.

Key Responsibilities

Content Development

- Develop original written and visual content that supports the company’s marketing and business-development objectives.

- Interview leadership, sales team members, and subject-matter experts to identify stories, insights, project highlights, and content opportunities.

- Translate technical or complex information into clear and engaging content for target audiences.

- Write, edit, proofread, and design materials from initial concept through final publication.

- Develop case studies, project profiles, company descriptions, employee biographies, service overviews, articles, announcements, and other corporate content.

- Build and maintain an organized library of approved copy, images, graphics, project information, and marketing assets.

- Coordinate photography, video production, graphic design, or other outside creative resources when required.

LinkedIn and Social Media

- Establish and manage a consistent LinkedIn content strategy and publishing calendar.

- Create original LinkedIn posts, graphics, employee features, project highlights, company announcements, and thought-leadership content.

- Schedule and publish approved content while maintaining a consistent company voice and visual identity.

- Monitor activity and engagement and recommend ways to improve reach and content performance.

- Identify opportunities for company leaders and employees to contribute to and amplify company content.

Website Management

- Review the existing website and recommend content and structural improvements.

- Write and develop new website pages and update existing content.

- Keep company, service, project, team, and news information accurate and current.

- Coordinate website changes with internal resources or outside vendors as needed.

- Apply basic search-engine optimization practices to improve the visibility and usefulness of website content.

- Monitor basic website analytics and use performance information to recommend improvements.

Sales and Proposal Support

- Partner with the sales team to create persuasive and visually professional client-facing materials.

- Develop and maintain sales presentations, proposal templates, capability statements, brochures, one-page summaries, and related materials.

- Support the preparation of proposals by organizing information, writing and editing content, and formatting final submissions.

- Tailor presentations and proposals to specific clients and opportunities.

- Ensure sales materials are accurate, current, well organized, and consistent with company branding.

- Maintain a centralized library of reusable proposal content, qualifications, team biographies, case studies, and supporting materials.

- Help communicate the company’s capabilities, experience, and value proposition clearly and consistently.

Brand and Marketing Development

- Help define and maintain the company’s brand voice, messaging, and visual standards.

- Create branded templates for presentations, proposals, social-media posts, case studies, and other recurring materials.

- Develop an editorial calendar and practical process for planning, reviewing, approving, and publishing content.

- Help establish foundational marketing tools, standards, and processes that can grow with the company.

- Ensure consistency in writing, design, formatting, and messaging across all external materials.

- Recommend marketing priorities and new opportunities based on business needs and audience response.

- Support company announcements, events, recruiting communications, and other marketing initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, graphic design, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

- Three to five years of relevant experience in marketing, content development, communications, or sales support.

- Demonstrated experience creating original written and visual marketing materials.

- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to gather information from subject-matter experts and transform it into compelling audience-focused content.

- Experience managing LinkedIn or other professional social-media channels.

- Experience updating and managing website content using a content-management system.

- Strong presentation-development skills, including advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.

- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar design software.

- Strong visual judgment and the ability to produce professional, brand-consistent materials.

- Excellent organizational and project-management skills.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and move projects from an initial idea to a finished product.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting business-to-business sales or professional-services organizations.

- Experience preparing proposals, pitch decks, qualification packages, or other business-development materials.

- Familiarity with WordPress or a similar website platform.

- Knowledge of basic search-engine optimization, website analytics, and social-media analytics.

- Photography, video production, or video-editing experience.

- Experience managing outside designers, photographers, website developers, printers, or other creative vendors.

- Experience building a company’s marketing program, content library, or brand presence from an early stage.
