Project Manager - Brand Transformation
Department: Corporate Brand Strategy / Enterprise Project Management
Location: San Antonio, TX (Onsite 4 days each week)
Reporting To: Vice President, Brand Team
Pay: $38-40 / hourly as W2
Position Overview
An established Financial Services organization is seeking a disciplined, enterprise-level Project Manager to lead a high-visibility, cross-functional transformation of their brand identity across their entire organization. Reporting directly to the VP of the Brand Team, this role is focused entirely on pure project execution, accountability, and tracking from A to Z over an ongoing conversion timeline.
The initial phase legwork has been completed; the incoming PM will take the reins to further, scale, and formalize the rollout. Rather than focusing on creative assets or design approvals, this PM will act as the central engine driving compliance and conversion across all lines of business. They will partner heavily with Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Services (managing physical crews) as well as with digital, marketing, and banking teams to ensure everyone is hitting their milestones.
Key Responsibilities include:
Enterprise-Wide Oversight & Accountability
โ€ข A-to-Z Execution: Own the end-to-end project lifecycle for the multi-year brand identity rollout across digital platforms, corporate communications, marketing, corporate real estate, and retail banking lines of business.
โ€ข Cross-Functional Management: Meet regularly with stakeholders across the organization to ensure their respective areas are actively converting to the new brand identity.
โ€ข Strict Oversight (Non-Creative): Maintain a strict governance and oversight posture. This is an operational PM role, not a creative PM role-you are managing the oversight of each team to ensure they are executing what they need to do, rather than approving creative work.
โ€ข Real Estate Coordination: Partner closely with Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Services teams to coordinate physical asset conversion and manage timelines with field/crew teams.
Tracking, Analytics & Reporting
โ€ข Timeline Ownership: Establish, maintain, and enforce macro and micro-level master timelines for the 2-3 year conversion horizon.
โ€ข Conversion Metrics & Reporting: Develop and maintain conversion reports and trend analyses to track asset updates across all physical and digital properties.
โ€ข Executive Visibility: Provide highly polished status updates, trend reports, and risk assessments directly to the VP of the Brand Team and other senior stakeholders.
Required Experience & Qualifications
โ€ข Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated project management experience driving large-scale change management, corporate integrations, or brand transformation initiatives.
Certifications & Methodology:
โ€ข PMP Certification is desirable. Strong Six Sigma skillset is desirable to successfully run a complex, multi-variable project from A to Z.
โ€ข Stakeholder Matrix: Proven experience managing and holding highly matrixed teams accountable-specifically bridging the gap between corporate marketing/comms, digital teams, and physical Corporate Real Estate/Workplace Services crews.
โ€ข Industry Context: Experience working within or closely with a major financial institution (e.g., retail banking or corporate lines of business) is highly preferred.
Key Competencies for Success include:
The Accountability Anchor: Some legwork has already been completed, this role requires someone who can step in and lead all tasks with several teams to completion. Success means holding diverse teams accountable to their timelines and deliverables without having direct authority over them.
โ€ข Operational Discipline: A true PM mindset that prioritizes structural tracking, deadlines, and execution over creative input.
โ€ข Communication & Presence: The confidence and professional presence to report directly to the VP level and effectively collaborate with everyone from corporate executives to real estate crew members.
โ€ข Data-Driven Reporting: Ability to turn complex, multi-year logistics into clean timeline, trend, and conversion reports.
