What you'll do

As part of the Brand Performance team, a Director at Landor will partner with the Global team to contribute to the delivery of key strategic projects that enable brand and business transformation for our clients. The Director will build a robust Brand Performance offer that strongly supports our strategic and creative effort, maintains our currency as a top-tier brand consultancy, and establishes new thinking and approaches to augment our current offer.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensures analysis and synthesis of primary and secondary data sources - from existing client financial data and research, new primary quantitative studies, and proprietary WPP data - to generate actionable insights that can impact clients and their business.
  • Gains and maintains an in-depth understanding of clients' businesses and industries.
  • Takes day-to-day responsibility for running client projects.
  • Identifies, recruits and manages Brand Performance suppliers, to include working with best-in-class vendors including boutique and global, specialist and generalist, custom and syndicated, B2B and B2C.
  • Educates and trains Landor colleagues to build knowledge and comfort with the requirements of great analytics and brand measurement - what it is, what it costs, how long it takes, etc.
  • Acts as a data-driven consultant to Landor colleagues and clients, designing and executing approaches to connect and analyze disparate data sources, including large proprietary market research and analytics studies, and the ability to create 5-year financial models
  • Partners with Executive Directors and mentors/coaches junior team members to deliver Analytics and Brand Measurement & Monetization tools across a wide range of clients' business challenges
  • Supports the evolution of our offer to meet the needs of our clients and establish clear processes to ensure successful delivery.
  • Understands the current consulting offers and deliverables, makes recommendations on areas of improvement with a view to standardise the workflow, approach, and deliverables.
  • Acts as an advocate for Brand Performance and builds team credentials through building case studies and inspirational content to demonstrate team capabilities.
  • Supports the Growth and Client Services teams to review client RFPs or business opportunities and define the Brand Performance needs by providing the right approach to meet the client brief.
  • Partners with cross-office project teams to develop proposals, pitch materials, and articulate scopes of work, defining the Brand Performance needs with creativity, precision and efficiency.
  • Supports the Global Brand Performance team in the creation of new Landor IP.
  • Builds the trust and respect of the senior leadership teams through expertise, insight creation and analysis, clear guidance and coaching in expertise area.
  • Instils confidence in clients and prospects via strong and persuasive presentation skills.

What you'll need 

  • Passionate about brands, audience & market trends and commercial impact, as well as exploring how new methodologies & data sets can answer client briefs.
  • Experience translating insights from research and data into actionable recommendations on client brand and business strategies, with proven strategic thinking and execution skills.
  • Track record of developing and managing data gathering, models, surveys, interviews and other methods for utilising insights and analytics.
  • Extensive experience and capability working with applied statistical and financial modelling methodologies across a range of quantification, measurement, and modelling approaches.

The hourly rate for this temporary position at the time of this posting may range from $100/hr to $155/hr. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
