Summary Description

The Director, North America Brand Management – Gorilla Brand is responsible for leading the development and execution of integrated gotomarket strategies across the Gorilla portfolio, with a strong emphasis on inmarket levers that drive sales, share, and brand equity.

This role owns translation of consumerled strategy into commercially effective activation across retail and media, ensuring Gorilla wins where it matters most—inmarket. The Director serves as the orchestration leader across pillars, aligning brand priorities to execution across channels (retail, digital, ecommerce) and levers (pricing, promotion, distribution, and media) to deliver measurable business outcomes.

As an enterprise leader, this role anticipates market and competitive dynamics, defines clear growth strategies, aligns crossfunctional teams, and ensures disciplined execution that balances shortterm performance with longterm brand building.


Duties & Responsibilities

GotoMarket & InMarket Leadership

  • Lead development and execution of North America gotomarket strategies across the Gorilla portfolio, ensuring alignment from strategy through commercialization.
  • Translate brand and pillar strategies into clear inmarket plans across key levers:
    • Media & demand generation
    • Promotion & merchandising
    • Pricing & pack architecture
    • Distribution & shelf execution
  • Drive retailready execution, ensuring plans land effectively across key customers (e.g., home center, mass, ecommerce).
  • Prioritize and sequence initiatives to maximize incremental sales and share impact inyear.

Drive Sales & Share Growth (P&L Ownership Mindset)

  • Identify, prioritize, and optimize growth levers to deliver against revenue, share, and profitability targets.
  • Own marketing plans through an “outcomes lens”, with clear linkage to incremental impact (volume, ACV, velocity, ROI).
  • Partner closely with Sales and Finance to ensure commercial viability and executional alignment.
  • Establish and lead performance routines (e.g., business reviews, postanalysis, brand planning) to evaluate effectiveness and continuously improve decisions.
  • Balance data, insights, and experience to make tradeoffs in dynamic, inmarket environments.

Integrated Marketing & Demand Generation

  • Lead development of integrated marketing plans that connect consumer messaging to inmarket activation.
  • Ensure campaigns are designed for retail and channel execution, not just brand storytelling.
  • Drive a digitalfirst, performancedriven approach, leveraging media, content, and ecommerce to capture demand.
  • Manage and partner with external agencies to deliver highquality, executionally grounded outputs tied to ROI.

CrossFunctional Leadership

  • Act as the central integrator across Brand, Sales, Finance, Digital, Supply Chain, and Claims/Regulatory.
  • Ensure marketing plans are fully integrated into commercialization plans across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Influence senior leaders through factbased storytelling, strong judgment, and clear recommendations.
  • Remove barriers and align resources to enable speed and clarity in execution.

People Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead, coach, and develop brand management talent, building a strong leadership bench.
  • Establish and scale tools, frameworks, and ways of working that improve gotomarket effectiveness and accountability.
  • Build organizational capability in inmarket execution, performance marketing, and commercial acumen.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in brand management (CPG preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business results through inmarket levers (pricing, promo, distribution, media).
  • Strong business acumen and P&L fluency, with ability to link marketing actions to financial outcomes.
  • Proven success leading gotomarket strategies and integrated marketing execution.
  • Experience operating in a crossfunctional, matrixed organization with strong influence skills.
  • Track record of developing talent and leading teams.
