Job description

Basic Function: The Communications Intern will perform supportive tasks as a part of the Communications team, seek to expand their knowledge of the field of digital communications within the nonprofit sector, and serve as a general assistant on varying projects. Opportunities: Assists in the creation and design of digital and print graphics, including web assets, marketing materials, promotional items, event signage, booth displays, presentations, and branded resources. Assists in the development and execution of social media content, including graphic design, content planning, scheduling, and campaign support.

Assists in maintaining brand consistency across all visual communications and marketing materials. Assists in department creative brainstorming, concept development, and visual storytelling efforts. Assists in the design and preparation of materials for events, conferences, ministry initiatives, fundraising campaigns, and organizational promotions.

Assists with photography, image editing, graphic asset management, and content organization. Assists in the creation and updating of website graphics, landing page assets, and other digital communication materials. Assists in the pre-production and post-production of video and audio content, including graphic elements, thumbnails, lower thirds, and promotional materials.

Assists in coordinating and preparing creative project timelines and schedules for marketing, communications, and production initiatives. Maintains, organizes, and catalogs graphic design files, media assets, templates, and brand resources. Monitors and helps maintain the visual quality and organization of creative workspaces and production areas.

Performs basic clerical and administrative tasks to support the Communications department. Performs other duties as assigned. Reports directly to the Communications Operations Lead.

Qualifications: Must be a current student with an interest in Communications. Original creativity for use in graphic/multimedia production. Desire to learn skills in visualizing and creating art and concepts effectively.

Desire to learn proficiency in learning and using software and tools for graphic design Desire to learn and use new technologies and best practices. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities. Ability to manage multiple production projects with excellence, bringing them in on-time.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to excellence and high standards with acute attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams.
