Job description

The Branch Operation Manager plays a vital role in managing daily banking operations within our financial institution. This position involves overseeing loan processes, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in banking and loan origination, with strong organizational and technical skills to support efficient branch functions and contribute to the overall success of the financial services team. The Ideal candidate will bring in new business and relationship development.
Requirements
  • To provide an exceptional service experience, every time!
  • Must have excellent communication and telephone skills.
  • Provide leadership, training, and supervision to personnel within the department.
  • Represents the Bank in community and civic functions.
  • Provide positive leadership, training and supervision to personnel within assigned branch.
  • Ensure service standards are met within assigned branch and the bank.
  • Ensure that service issues are recognized and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with Bank policies and procedures.
  • Inspect interior and exterior of branch daily to ensure a safe and well-maintained facility.
  • Attain loan goals, achievement of quality performance objectives, and other goals as assigned through participation in sales management and officer call programs.
  • Coach and train branch personnel to achieve incentive goals and increase referral activity.
  • Ensure quarterly incentive goals are effectively communicated and achieved by branches.
  • Coach employees in assigned region regularly to promote career development.
  • Perform direct supervisory duties of branch staff and coordinate staff coverage within assigned area.
  • Perform any and all duties within the branch as needed.
  • Prepare or review employee performance appraisals.
  • Prepare quarterly branch narratives for final approval by Regional Manager prior to Board submission.
  • Approve loans for lenders in accordance with Loan Policy.
  • Prepare loan packages for Regional Manager or Loan Committee review and close loans upon approval.
  • Cultivate business and represent the bank at community events and through participation in civic organizations.
  • Prepare and conduct or delegate branch sales meetings and staff meetings.
  • Review and approve employee incentive forms monthly.
  • Perform proper branch opening and closing procedures. Respond to alarms as needed.
  • Perform Notary Public duties, as licensed.
  • Assist other branches as needed.
  • This is a full-time position performed in a regular office environment, Monday through Saturday, Retail Branch Banking hours. Travel is required.
  • Other duties as assigned: responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice, deemed necessary by Management.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in banking operations, loan origination, or as a loan officer is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial services and related regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in financial software applications used within banking environments
  • Ability to perform detailed loan processing tasks with precision and attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of banking products, services, and compliance standards.

Education:
  • Associate (Required)

Experience:
  • Working at a bank: 3 years (Required)
