Branch Manager/Officer

  • Status: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt or Salaried Exempt at Officer level
  • Bank Operation Hours: Monday–Friday 8:15am-5:15pm, Saturday 8:15am-12:15pm

Position Purpose: LCNB National Bank is seeking a Branch Manager/Branch Officer to lead branch operations and deliver an exceptional customer experience while ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and achievement of business objectives. This role develops and strengthens customer and community relationships, drives business growth, and enhances the branch's market presence through active engagement and partnership with internal business lines. The Branch Manager/Branch Officer provides leadership, coaching, and development for branch associates while fostering a customer-focused culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and service excellence. This position requires a broad knowledge of bank products, services, and operations and applies that knowledge to support branch performance, identify growth opportunities, and ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and bank policies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities 

  • Lead branch operations to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and high operational standards. 
  • Foster a customer-focused culture that prioritizes relationship building, responsiveness, and service excellence. 
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal controls, audit standards, and bank policies and procedures. 
  • Identify, develop, and pursue business development opportunities through community involvement, relationship building, and local market engagement. 
  • Partner with internal resource teams to deepen customer relationships and deliver comprehensive financial solutions, including: 
    • Consumer, Mortgage, and Commercial Lending
    • Treasury Management
    • Investment & Wealth Management Services
    • Merchant Services
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop branch associates through ongoing feedback, performance management, training, and career development planning. 
  • Establish and support individual development plans aligned with branch and organizational goals. 
  • Encourage associate participation in business development efforts, referral generation, and community activities. 
  • Lead branch efforts related to customer acquisition, relationship expansion, referrals, and achievement of branch growth objectives. 
  • Perform leadership and administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, timecard approval, hiring participation, performance evaluations, and compensation recommendations, as appropriate. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and business partners to resolve complex customer concerns, support specialized transactions, implement process improvements, and achieve branch goals. 
  • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly operational activities are completed accurately and timely. 
  • Oversee internal and external audit activities and maintain strong audit performance. 
  • Make sound business decisions utilizing judgment, experience, analysis, and established guidelines. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information. 
  • Comprehend, retain, and apply information necessary to perform responsibilities effectively. 
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

Branch Manager Level:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent (required)
  • College degree in Business or related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years of retail banking experience 
  • 2+ years of leadership, management, or supervisory experience 
  • Ohio Notary Public (or the ability to obtain commission within first three months of employment)
  • NMLS (obtained or transferred within 45 days)

 Branch Officer Level 

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • College degree in Business or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of retail banking experience
  • 5+ years of leadership and management experience
  • Demonstrated success in business development, community involvement, and branch growth
  • Ohio Notary Public (or the ability to obtain commission within first three months of employment)
  • NMLS (obtained or transferred within 45 days)

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Occasional movement to access files, equipment, and operational areas
  • Regular use of computer, phone, and standard office equipment 
  • Occasionally moves coin bags weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally will need to travel up to a 30-mile radius
