Hose Braiding Machine Operator

Pay: $17.50+ hourly, weekly payroll cycle

Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy working with manufacturing equipment? Do you take pride in producing high-quality products with precision and attention to detail? We're looking for dependable, motivated individuals to join our manufacturing team as Hose Braiding Machine Operators.

Joining a leading, local manufacturer, you'll help produce precision braided hydraulic hose used in a wide variety of industrial applications. What You'll Do

  • Set up and operate industrial hose braiding equipment according to production specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance to ensure consistent product quality and production efficiency.
  • Perform visual inspections and precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauging tools.
  • Record production data, quality measurements, and process information accurately.
  • Perform minor machine adjustments and troubleshoot equipment when needed.
  • Assist maintenance personnel with equipment repairs and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Set up and operate hose marking equipment.
  • Package finished products according to work instructions and customer specifications.
  • Assemble cartons, reels, spools, and other packaging materials as required.
  • Read and follow production charts, simple diagrams, and written work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or hose braiding experience is a plus, but mechanically inclined individuals are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and follow production instructions, setup sheets, and simple diagrams.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers is preferred.
  • Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
  • Dependable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Commitment to producing high-quality work in a safe manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout your shift.
  • Lift and move materials weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Frequently push, pull, bend, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive hand movements.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, safety shoes, and other required gear.
  • Ability to distinguish sizes, shapes, and colors and respond to machine alarms and audible signals.
