As of Jul 1, 2026, the average hourly pay for bra modeling in the United States is $14.30, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $13.22 and $15.14 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

How much do bra models make?

Bra models typically earn between $50 and $300 per hour, depending on experience, the brand, and the scope of the campaign. Some may also receive flat rates for photoshoots or promotional events, with top-tier models earning higher fees based on their reputation and market demand.

What are some common challenges faced by bra models during photoshoots, and how can they prepare for them?

Bra modeling often requires a high level of comfort and confidence, as shoots can involve wearing minimal clothing in front of a team of photographers and stylists. Models may face challenges such as maintaining good posture, displaying natural expressions, and holding poses for extended periods. Preparation includes practicing different poses, ensuring good skin care, and communicating openly with the creative team about any concerns. Being familiar with the brand’s style and expectations can also help models perform confidently and professionally during shoots.

What is bra modeling?

Bra modeling is a specialized area of fashion modeling where individuals model bras and other lingerie items for brands, designers, retailers, and advertising campaigns. Bra models showcase how various styles and fits of bras look on the body, helping consumers make informed purchasing decisions. This type of modeling can involve photoshoots, runway shows, online catalogs, and sometimes promotional events. Bra models often need to meet specific sizing and appearance requirements set by brands and agencies, and professionalism and confidence are important traits for success in this field.

How do I become a bra model?

To become a bra model, individuals typically need to have a suitable body size and measurements, along with good skin and confidence. Building a portfolio, gaining experience through local auditions or agencies, and understanding lingerie fit and presentation are important steps in pursuing a career in bra modeling.

What is the difference between Bra Modeling vs Lingerie Modeling?

AspectBra ModelingLingerie Modeling
Required CredentialsPortfolio, modeling experience, sometimes specific lingerie or fashion trainingPortfolio, modeling experience, often similar training as bra modeling
Work EnvironmentPhoto shoots, runway shows, promotional events focused on brasPhoto shoots, runway shows, promotional events for lingerie and intimate apparel
Employer & Industry UsageFashion brands, lingerie companies, modeling agenciesFashion brands, lingerie brands, adult and fashion industries

Bra modeling and lingerie modeling share similar credentials and work environments, often overlapping in fashion and promotional settings. The main difference lies in the focus of the products showcased: bra modeling specifically highlights bras, while lingerie modeling encompasses a broader range of intimate apparel. Both roles require a strong portfolio and experience in the industry, making them closely related career paths within the fashion and modeling industry.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Bra Model, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Bra Model, you need a well-maintained physique, body confidence, and experience in posing, often supported by a modeling portfolio and agency representation. Familiarity with photo shoot environments, knowledge of industry standards, and sometimes digital submission platforms are typically used. Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to take direction make someone stand out in this position. These skills and qualities are crucial for representing brands effectively and ensuring successful collaborations with photographers and clients.

What cup size do you have to be to be a model?

Bra modeling typically requires models to have a well-proportioned and fit physique, with cup size varying depending on the specific niche and client needs. There is no strict minimum cup size; instead, overall body measurements, confidence, and professionalism are prioritized. Successful models often have good communication skills and are comfortable with fitting and wardrobe fittings.

How much does a plus size model get paid?

Plus size models' pay varies based on experience, market, and assignment, but they typically earn between $100 and $1,000 per hour or $1,000 to $10,000 per campaign. Rates can be higher for well-known models or high-profile projects, and payment may include additional benefits or royalties. Agencies often negotiate contracts, and models may also earn from licensing and endorsement deals.

Job description

Who We Are

For too long, the bra industry was stuck in outdated ideas, forcing women to choose between feeling sexy or comfortable. So in 2013, Heidi Zak and Ra'el Cohen created Thirdlove–a third, better option designed to help women look and feel their best.

Prioritizing real-world fit over outdated standards, Thirdlove disrupted the industry by inventing half-cup sizes and the Fitting Room® quiz. The result was a more precise fit that offered comfort without sacrificing style. Today, Thirdlove remains an innovative design-led brand, handling everything from R&D to the supply chain in-house to get every detail just right.
