They determine the appropriate level of care and services needed, and the least restrictive setting in which those services can be provided. Crisis Therapists are required to be available via tablet and/or telephone for calls that are referred for screening and intervention by local police departments that have established business agreements with The Guidance Center. They must be available to respond immediately to crisis calls during scheduled on-call hours. Crisis screening services will be available 24 hours each day, including holidays and weekends. Crisis Therapists will share on-call responsibilities during business hours with other ABH team members and will assist with after-hours on-call coverage on a volunteer basis as their individual schedules allow. Regular working hours are Monday thru Thursday 8:30 am to 7 pm and Friday 8:30 to 5 pm. Some evening and/or weekend hours may be required.
