Appian Architect
About the role
As an Appian Architect, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, secure, and reliable business process management solutions using the Appian platform. You will be a valued member of the delivery team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders, technical teams, architects, and developers to define solution architectures, establish development standards, and drive successful implementation of enterprise BPM initiatives
In this role, you will:
• Define end-to-end architecture and solution design for enterprise Appian BPM implementations.
• Design and establish reusable frameworks, components, and architectural patterns that enable scalable and maintainable Appian solutions.
• Partner with client business and technical teams to gather requirements, identify technical components, and translate business needs into robust Appian solutions.
• Create high-level and detailed design documentation for Appian workflows, integrations, and application components.
• Lead the design and development of Appian BPM workflows, process models, and automation solutions.
• Design and develop integration components using APIs and web services to connect Appian with enterprise applications and external systems.
• Guide development activities involving Appian SAIL, CDTs, Records, Sites, task reports, and related Appian platform capabilities.
• Support CI/CD implementation, production deployments, application releases, and defect resolution activities.
• Review solution designs and implementations to ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle

What you need to have to be considered
• Appian L1, L2, or L3 Certification.
• Strong experience architecting, designing, and delivering Appian BPM solutions in enterprise environments.
• Expertise in Appian SAIL, Process Modeling, Records, Sites, CDTs, task reports, workflow development, and business process automation.
• Proven experience designing reusable frameworks, components, and architectural patterns for Appian applications.
• Hands-on experience developing integrations with REST APIs, web services, and enterprise systems.
• Experience creating architecture documents, high-level designs, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and deployment automation practices.
• Strong understanding of Appian implementation methodologies and BPM best practices.
• Experience supporting production deployments, troubleshooting issues, and resolving application defects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with client business and technical teams.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $138,000- $162,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
