Job Description Job Description Job Title: Production Supervisor Department: BAL Operations Reports to: Production Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Summary: Lead and manage production operations by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel  Achieve quality targets by establishing and enforcing standardized work and quality procedures  Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all PPE, safety equipment and safety procedures  Oversee, train and coach employees  Validates team members meet required skill levels. Initiates countermeasures if skill levels are not being met  Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements  Ensures efficient staffing of all required machines and processes  Ensures cost efficient production operation by continually monitoring output and RFT performances and initiates countermeasures if not on target  Establish priorities, monitor progress, adjust operation including filling in if required, in order to meet target  Promotes team work through facilitating effective communication between production team, quality team, maintenance and programmers  Coordinate jig changes, first piece verification, assist with distribution of quality alerts  Must be fork lift certified  Must be first responder certified  Responsible for time management via ADP of all team members including attendance tracking and scheduling of vacation time  Conduct duties in a safe manner, follow all safety procedures, report incidents immediately, wears proper PPE and conducts duties to their level of training.

 Other duties as assigned. Uncontrolled when printed ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: This position reports directly to the Production Manager and works directly with the staff in the Production department. This position has a communication relationship with all department managers and other employees in the BAL Operations department.

COMPETENCIES / EXPERIENCE:  Solid understanding of standardized work methods in the automotive environment  Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions  Understanding of quality systems regarding IATF 16949, manufacturing processes  Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision  Excellent organizational and communication skills  Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment  Ability to create a team-oriented environment EDUCATION AND TRAINING:  Associates degree preferred.  Minimum 5 years' experience in a related position / field preferably within JIS-automotive industry  Ability to use computer for work related tasks, Microsoft Office SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Physical, etc.):  Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.  Must be able to be on feet for 8 hours or more.

 Must be able to sit long hours at a desk.  Must be able to work weekends and rotating shifts. QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: All employees are responsible for knowing the Quality Policy, how their job supports the quality statement, and quality objectives
