JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for volume and profit in the Alternate Channel Retail/Club segment. Responsible for profitable volume growth and the management of all aspects of this business segment. This includes working closely with the Jones Executive management team and all departments as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

An essential job duty of this position is regularly reporting to work on time and being able to perform the essential duties of the position.

  • Supervise and maintain an effective department staff.
  • Initiate contacts with club buyers resulting in growth of sales.
  • Maintain effective inter-office communication skills with accounts receivable and transportation, to facilitate company policies.
  • Actively participate in all necessary trade/food shows and new club openings.
  • Manage assigned customer accounts to meet AOP objectives on volume and profit.
  • Provide pricing and manage promotional activity with club store accounts.
  • Work well with production departments to ensure product requirements are met cost efficiently.
  • Make recommendations concerning improvements to policies and procedures.
  • Frequent overnight travel.
  • Perform special projects willingly, efficiently, and timely as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in related field or equivalent experience.

Experience or Training: Minimum of 10 years of sales/marketing experience and 3 years of sales/marketing experience in the Club/Big Box retail channel with focus on perishable food products, meat experience preferred. Work on product development and new item launch experience a plus. Must possess excellent communication, financial management and negotiating skills. Must be a highly self-motivated individual. Must have a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and good judgment.

Technology/Equipment: Strong computer skills with proficiency working in MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
