Lighthouse Immersive is seeking a friendly, outgoing, and highly professional Box Office Manager to lead the ticketing operations for our venue in Moreno Valley, California. This role requires strong leadership skills, proven experience with digital ticketing systems, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Position Summary

The Box Office Manager oversees all aspects of box office operations, including supervising box office associates, managing ticket inventory, resolving customer concerns, and ensuring compliance with point-of-sale and cash-handling procedures. This position is integral to delivering an outstanding visitor experience while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and team morale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all visitors are welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and a positive first impression.
  • Oversee walk-up ticket sales, applying up-selling strategies where appropriate to maximize revenue.
  • Manage and process transactions (cash, debit, credit) with accuracy and accountability.
  • Operate and monitor computerized ticketing systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Safeguard sensitive account and payment information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Enforce and interpret ticketing policies and procedures to uphold a high standard of service.
  • Troubleshoot ticketing equipment, hardware, and software issues as needed.
  • Reconcile and balance daily sales transactions, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of ticket pricing, schedules, promotions, and venue operations.
  • Provide accurate directions and venue information to the public.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or ticketing issues with professionalism and empathy.
  • Collaborate with management to refine processes and improve box office operations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with digital ticketing systems such as VivaTicket, Universe, Ticketmaster, Spectrix, AudienceView, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills- confident in working with customers and staff at all levels, in person, via email, and by phone.
  • Reliable, responsible, and punctual with a proactive and professional approach to work.
  • Cash-handling experience and proficiency with computerized POS systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for the events, arts and entertainment industry is considered a strong asset.
