Job description

Title:                Manufacturing Engineering Technician Assembly
Client:              Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Location:         St. Paul, MN 55114
Duration:         2 Years (Possible Extension)
Shift:                1st Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Overtime Possible)

Key Responsibilities

• Build, integrate, test, and troubleshoot electro-mechanical drone sensor assemblies, cameras, and gimbals
• Perform wired assembly integration, box builds, and cable assembly work
• Support production planning and ensure timely completion of production orders
• Conduct system checkout, testing, fault diagnosis, and repair activities
• Program circuit card assemblies (CCA) and perform product validation testing
• Support design-for-manufacturing (DFM) initiatives and production design updates
• Create and maintain technical documentation and manufacturing records
• Coordinate engineering changes, drawings, and design updates with internal teams and contract manufacturers
• Perform optical assembly, alignment, focusing, and flight testing activities
• Ensure delivery of defect-free products and maintain production quality standards
• Support material planning and inventory requirements for production builds
• Serve as liaison between engineering teams and manufacturing partners

Required Skills

• Electro-mechanical assembly experience
• Cable assembly and box build experience

• Troubleshooting and fault isolation skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
• Strong mechanical aptitude

Education & Experience

• Associate Degree in Electronics or related technical discipline preferred
• Two-year technical diploma, military technical certification, or equivalent experience accepted
• Candidates without a degree must have 2+ years of relevant experience
• Part 107 Certification required within 3 months of employment
