Job description

Join a global leader at the forefront of life-changing science. Our client is an international manufacturer of cell culture media, reagents, specialty chemicals, and advanced processing solutions supporting breakthrough work across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, cell & gene therapy, and vaccine production and they are looking to identify and hire a Kitting Assembly Technician. There are 2 Open positions – 1 for 1st shift (5:00am-1:30pm) and 1 for 2nd shift (1:00pm-9:30pm). This is expected to be a 3-month contract position, though there could be potential for temp to hire based on budget and performance.

The Kitting Assembly Technician will:

  • Inspect product for content (volume) and label accuracy.
  • Kit product in final box configuration in accordance to product family requirements.
  • Use shrink seal equipment.
  • Maintain and ensure completeness and accuracy of all documentation associated to work performed.
  • Navigate through electronic documentation system.
  • Responsible for transactions associated with components and supplies used for batch; to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Follow line clearance requirements to maintain cGMP and cGLP in all work areas.
  • Quarantine product and complete all necessary documentation.
  • Suggest changes in departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • Assemble product final kit.
  • Assist with lab glassware preparation.
  • Assist in other production duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Good work history.
  • Some experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Knowledge of metric system.
  • Ability to understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Must be able to work overtime as product demands dictate.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
