Job Summary:

The Bowling Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Starlight Lanes Bowling Center.


Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and coordinates the activities of the bowling center staff, recommending measures to improve performance and increase efficiency.
  • Recommends or initiates personnel actions such as hiring; promotions; transfers; discharges; disciplinary measures; performance evaluations; and training of new and current employees.
  • Interview, hire, coach, discipline and counsel team members.
  • Train and monitor team member performance to ensure company guidelines are followed.
  • Ensure guests receive the best service possible from the Starlight staff.
  • Review weekly/daily schedules for appropriate coverage pertaining to special events, holidays or low business volume expectations.
  • Continuously monitor and work at controlling labor and equipment costs.
  • Collects and interprets data and prepares reports and recommendations to supervisor.
  • Plan marketing, advertising and special functions in coordination with Food & Beverage and Marketing Departments.
  • Track and maintain inventory for Pro Shop, Arcade and Bowling Center.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Updates and maintains website and online programs.
  • Actively seeks sales opportunities and is proactive in establishing social / business networks to enhance bowling sales.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
  • Four-year degree will substitute experience on a year-by-year basis.
  • Proficiency in office software such as Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with interruptions and perform multiple tasks while remaining collected in high pressure situations
  • Ability to deal with customers and team members in a tactful and respectful manner.
  • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided with a smartphone of the company’s choice, through a payroll deduction program.
  • All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission key license.
