POSITION: Partnerships (Sponsorships) Activation & Fulfillment Intern (Summer/Fall)
DEPARTMENT: Partnerships (Sponsorships)
REPORTS TO: Coordinator, Partnerships Fulfillment
STATUS: Internship, Unpaid, Onsite
SUMMARY: This is an exciting opportunity for an individual interested in a career in Sponsorship/Partnerships Fulfillment. The intern will observe, learn, and develop the skills necessary to explore career opportunities in the chosen field. The Partnerships Activation & Fulfillment Intern will assist with the implementation and fulfillment of sponsorship benefits for all Orange Bowl Festival Events, the Capital One Orange Bowl Game, and the surrounding bowl week ancillary events. An individual may qualify for college credit if their college/university allows it. This position is an unpaid internship.
LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Intern will learn and be exposed to:
  • Inner workings of major non-profit sports and event organizations and how they relate to the community.
  • Learning basic fundamentals such as coordination and execution of sponsor deliverables during festival events.
  • Ability to execute sponsorship tasks by working closely with and attending various activities and business-related forums with partnership staff.
  • Learn about departmental processes needed to ensure that sponsor deliverables are being accurately represented.
  • Gain knowledge through research, presentation, and management of annual plans, budgets, purchases, and expenses of pertinent sponsor information.
  • Acquire knowledge through the coordination and development of sponsorship activities and events, including game program ads, in-game video spots, signage, dรฉcor, gifts, and donated products.
  • Participation in the coordination of the OBC's events and promotions, such as:
    • Orange Bowl Florida High School Football Showcase presented by Baptist Health
    • GA Telesis Orange Bowl Golf Tournament Presented by First Horizon
    • Orange Bowl 5K Beach Run
    • Orange Bowl Youth Football Clinics
    • Orange Bowl Leadership Academy Program
    • Orange Bowl Food & Wine Celebration Presented by Florida Blue
    • Orange Bowl Creative Art Contest
    • Modelo Orange Bowl Watch Parties hosted by Duffy's Sports Grill
    • Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance Park of the Week

PREREQUISITES
  • Pursuing a degree and/or career in Sports Management, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Publisher, and typing skills
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
  • Valid Driver's License

Note: Preferred commitment of a minimum of 20-40 hours a week, consistent with academic demands/schedule.
