We invite you to embark on an exciting journey as a Medical Lab Technician who melds curiosity with accuracy-someone focused on enhancing patient care, one sample at a time. In this full-time, day-shift position at a thriving community hospital nestled in the serene tapestry of Spokane, you will contribute to life-altering diagnostic results. You will collaborate with passionate colleagues who share your commitment to excellence, all while enjoying a comprehensive rewards package crafted to support both your career growth and overall well-being.
Description - Your Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests, including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond, following established protocols.
  • Evaluate results for precision, resolve discrepancies, and execute maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
  • Support specimen collection and adequately prepare samples for testing as needed.
  • Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new staff or students, and uphold the highest lab quality standards.
  • Ensure a clean, safe laboratory environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent degree along with preparations for ASCP/AMT certification.
Certifications Required
  • Achieve ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within a year of hire.
  • Maintain active certification status throughout your employment.
Essential Skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to foster effective collaboration within healthcare teams.
  • Capability to exercise independent judgment and solve problems in dynamic or high-pressure situations.
  • Meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly regarding quality control and documentation processes.
Benefits Offered
  • Competitive annual salary based on your experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Generous paid time off starting from day one, with additional vacation and holiday time awarded on experience.
  • Opportunities for continued education and support for professional advancement.
  • A robust total rewards package focused on your holistic wellness.

Transform Lives Through Diagnostic Precision
Your expertise in the lab fuels the critical decisions doctors make and the lives of patients they serve. Every slide examined might confirm necessary antibiotic use or reveal metabolic imbalances before they manifest as symptoms. Your skills ensure the accuracy that healthcare providers, nurses, and patients trust every day.
A Culture Built on Collaboration
This position transcends mere duty; it positions you within a community. You will be part of a team that champions ongoing improvement, with frequent in-lab discussions, skill refreshers, and initiatives dedicated to process enhancements. You'll be empowered to take part in committees, propose your ideas for better practices, and even guide newcomers.
Emerging Community: Where Nature and Life Flourish
Imagine a vibrant riverside community-tree-lined avenues adjacent to glistening waters, fresh produce at bustling farmers' markets, and a rich tapestry of local art festivals. Cozy cafes serve as gathering spots where lively discussions flourish, from the latest weather updates to local developments. Your time off can be spent kayaking on peaceful waters or enjoying live outdoor music in the park surrounded by majestic trees. The local population is warm, approachable, and eager to support each other-traits mirrored in the healthcare system.
With charming boutiques, scenic trails, and community theaters, everything caters to a variety of interests-from hiking to art appreciation. Commuting here is uncomplicated, with accessible transit options offering a refreshing contrast to life in larger cities. Housing remains affordable, allowing financial flexibility that flows toward enriched experiences-rooftop gatherings, weekend getaways, and local sports events.
Making a Difference, Honoring Excellence
In this community, every lab professional goes beyond traditional responsibilities-they become vital pillars of public health. Your contributions lead to swifter diagnoses, safer care, and jubilant patients, alongside optimally functioning operations. Heartfelt tokens of gratitude-like thank you notes-reflect the broader appreciation of your role in delivering timely, quality care.

If you are in search of more than just a salary-if passion, personal growth, and community involvement resonate with you-then this opportunity is calling your name. Whether you're newly certified or bringing a wealth of experience, you will discover an environment of support, challenge, and boundless potential.
Ready to Embrace Your Next Adventure?
Step into a role where your meticulous skills align with a community that cherishes innovation and warmth-a place where each lab result contributes to precious narratives of healing.
