Holiday Installation and Production Technician

Position Type: Seasonal, Full-Time (Approximately 40 hours per week)
Schedule: Overtime and weekend work, including Thanksgiving weekend, may be required.
Opportunity: Seasonal positions may transition into year-round employment based on business needs and performance.

The Seasonal Holiday Installation & Production Technician is responsible for constructing holiday decor and props, including wreaths, trees, garland, and seasonal arrangements, under the direction of company designers and according to customer specifications. This position also assists with the installation of holiday decor at commercial client locations.

This is a seasonal position averaging approximately 40 hours per week. Weekend work, including Thanksgiving weekend, may be required. Opportunities for continued employment beyond the holiday season may be available.

• Construct holiday decor and props, including trees, wreaths, garland, and seasonal arrangements.
• Assist with warehouse preparation, organization, and staging of materials.
• Install live and artificial holiday decorations at commercial properties, both interior and exterior.
• Follow written, verbal, and visual design instructions to ensure installations meet company quality standards and customer expectations.
• Complete projects within established labor budgets and scheduled timelines.
• Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and fellow employees.
• Minimize material waste and maintain cost-conscious work practices.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and maintain company equipment in good working order.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Creative with an eye for design and visual presentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and visual instructions.
• Experience in design, holiday decorating, lighting, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Basic artistic ability required; basic electrical or lighting experience is a plus.

• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

• Ability to work overtime as needed during the holiday season.
• Attend company-provided holiday decorating training and meet established production standards.
• Understand job orders and allotted production and installation times.
• Work effectively with supervisors, crew leaders, coworkers, and customers.
• Attend crew meetings prior to each job assignment and follow directions regarding assigned duties and time requirements.

The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

• Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
• Work on ladders and elevated platforms during installations.
• Frequently lift and carry 20-40 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Move boxes and oversized decorative materials above shoulder height.
• Travel by company vehicle to commercial job sites.
• Perform work in warehouse settings as well as indoor and outdoor commercial environments.
• Work in varying weather conditions and environments with moderate to occasionally high noise levels.
• Possess sufficient vision for close work, distance viewing, color recognition, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
