Role: PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) Platform Engineer / Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) Platform Engineer / Consultant to design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade PaaS platforms across hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cloud Foundry, BOSH, Concourse CI/CD, and AWS, along with hands-on experience in platform automation, monitoring, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage PCF foundations on:
• VMware vSphere / NSX-T
• AWS Cloud
• Conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) aligned with customer requirements and validate platform solutions
• Perform installation, upgrades, and lifecycle management of PCF using:
• BOSH CLI
• Platform Automation tools
• Upgrade Planner
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Concourse for platform automation
• Manage platform operations including:
• Users, orgs, and spaces (CF Management)
• Resource allocation and governance
• Monitor platform performance using tools such as:
• Prometheus & Grafana
• Splunk & New Relic
• Troubleshoot platform issues and support production/P1 incidents, collaborating with VMware/vendor teams
• Configure and manage platform services including:
• Kafka, Zookeeper
• GemFire, Spark

Cloud & Infrastructure Skills

• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Strong exposure to Hybrid / Private / Public cloud environmentsPCF / AWS / Azure / vSphere
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for provisioning and automation

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with:
• PCF / Cloud Foundry environments
• BOSH CLI and platform lifecycle management
• Solid understanding of:
• Unix / Linux systems
• Messaging platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with:
• Monitoring & logging frameworks
• Performance metrics and KPIs

DevOps & Automation

• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Concourse preferred)
• Exposure to configuration management tools such as:
• Ansible
• Chef
• Puppet
• Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments

Experience & Role Expectations

• 6 10 years of experience in platform engineering / cloud consulting roles
• Ability to act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for PCF and PaaS platforms
• Strong capability to design, propose, and validate technical solutions
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within cross-functional teams

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Quick learner with strong problem-solving ability
• Customer-facing experience is highly preferred

Nice to Have

• Experience with NSX-T networking
• Exposure to multi-cloud and sovereign cloud environments
• Prior experience in enterprise-scale PaaS/platform transformations

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
