Job Description

Team: Hydrogen Fuel Cell System group within the Power Solutions division

Responsibilities:

  • Testing and validation: Support Fuel Cell Power Module (FCPM) test bench construction & operation by defining work procedures & best practices, configuring & using data acquisition systems, and ensuring safety protocols are specified and documented. Drive closure of open issues, proactively seeking support when needed. Maintain test readiness as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for local FCPM testing.
  • Customer support: Serve as a front-end/point of contact for Fuel Cell Power Module deployments at customers, including travel to customer sites; utilize expertise at fuel cell system and platform development departments in Germany when needed.
  • Sales & requirements engineering: Provide technical support for customer acquisition projects, analyzing & tracking customer requests and reporting status.

Technology Domains

  • PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) fuel cell systems
  • Automotive applications including commercial vehicles
  • Off-highway & stationary applications (vehicles, stand-by/prime power generation)

  • Who are highly self-motivated and can work independently in complex situations, without continuous supervision or guidance
Qualifications
  • Bachelors' Degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar engineering fields
  • Experience communicating with external stakeholders, customers or business partners
  • Ability to read, understand and create technical documentation
  • Demonstrated organized and self-motivated working style, comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrated capability to drive project results, even when processes are unclear or not-yet defined for the given task
  • Familiarity with engineering testing tools and instrumentation
  • Desired: Understanding of PEM fuel cell systems and their applications
  • Desired: Experience with calibration tools and SW such as ETAS INCA
  • Desired: Experience with measurement data review, such as ETAS MDA
  • Desired: Experience with basic programming, such as Python
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to ~50% at times)
