Job Description

POSITION
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will create software that runs on or works with the electronic devices for the Bosch Automotive Service Solutions diagnostics group. Join the team as we change the way we create and develop new products.

YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • To develop cutting edge software using C++, C#, Java, and/or Android
  • To help define the software architecture and design for exciting new products.
  • To participate in design reviews, code reviews and adhere to software development best practices
  • To provide system-wide problem-solving, solutions, and production support.
  • To support hardware board bring-up, trouble-shooting, device driver development and automated software builds.
  • To seek out and participate in personal development opportunities.
  • To grow and share your knowledge base of the latest technologies, industry standardization, and engineering best practices.
  • To collaborate with multiple departments in a dynamic manufacturing facility.
Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical field required. 
  • 5+ years’ experience developing software and delivering to a production environment.  Including experience working with architectures on various platforms, such mobile applications, web applications and services, and components, stand-alone applications, distributed (enterprise) applications, etc., on various operating systems, including Android and/or iOS.  Additional experience on Windows Servers and Desktops is a plus.
  • 3+ years' experience using C++, C#, and/or Java, Kotlin, .NET, Maui, Xamarin, C++, HTML, XML, TCP/IP, etc
  • Experience creating and/or using Software Design Patterns and Practices. (MVC, MVP, Interfaces, etc.).
  • Proven capability in technical communications, often called upon to express complex technical concepts verbally and in writing.
  • Full stack development on Android and/or Linux
  • Ability to learn from other team members and adopt to best in class industry standards

DESIRED

  • Application development for embedded Linux.
  • Android and/or Linux Board Support Package experience.
  • Android and/or Linux device driver experience.

Experience with communication protocols such as CAN bus, TCP/IP, UDP, UART, SPI, I2C, etc

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $103,000 - $135,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
