Job Description

The Bosch Production System (BPS) Manager is responsible for the strategic advancing of Lean Concepts and procedures within the Norman facility in practice, adaptation, and cultural integration. Through the implementation of specific strategies, training and advocacy, this role will play a significant piece of bringing the Norman organization to a new culture. This is achieved through both direct and influential leadership. The BPS Manager will develop a strong partnership with cross-functional teams at all levels in the plant.

This role will play a major role in successfully implementing lean in operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs by aligning the processes, measurements, standards, and efforts across the facility.

  • Innovation - Displays original thinking and creativity; Meets challenges with resourcefulness; Generates suggestions for improving work; Develops innovative approaches and ideas; Presents ideas and information in a manner that gets others' attention.
  • Ability to work across as well as upwards in the organization to establish strong working relationships and gain consensus for programs.
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build business partnerships, strong teams and develop talent.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field
  • 7+ years' experience in the application of lean principles, and statistical tools and methods
  • 5+ years management experience
  • Data Analysis: Data-driven mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience moderating workshops
  • Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including email and Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to exercise influence without authority.
  • Ability to think strategically, envision future states and create change.
  • Enthusiastic about Continuous Improvement with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
