Job Description

A Borrego Springs, California based client is seeking an excellent Family Practice Physician to provide care to patients in a community health center. An ideal candidate is a versatile and collaborative Physician who values providing equitable care to all populations. This role involves providing continuing, comprehensive wellness, preventative, and medical care to families and/or adults. Physicians right out of residency are welcome to apply.

Required Qualifications 

  • Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
  • Current CA state medical license
  • Completed an accredited residency program
  • Current DEA certificate
  • Board certified in primary care
  • Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury; Maintaining the patient record in a timely fashion
  • Provide narrative summaries in EMR to communicate patient information to other health care providers
  • Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' condition
  • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results
  • Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients
  • Advise patients concerning diet, activity, and disease prevention
  • Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary
