Position Summary

The Manager, Quality2 provides leadership for all qualityrelated activities supporting the CBP P3 fleet. You will develop, implement, and sustain quality management systems, accident/incident reporting, and rootcause correctiveaction processes. The role demands deep expertise in AS9100, aircraft maintenance, aircraft forms/publications, and a commitment to integrity, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management

Design, modify, and maintain AS9100based quality evaluation and control systems for aircraft maintenance and production.
Establish and enforce procedures for accident/incident reporting, rootcause analysis, and correctiveaction implementation.

Inspection & Testing

Devise and execute inspection, testing, and measurement plans for aircraft components and systems.
Perform statistical analysis (SPC, Weibull, Pareto) to assess nonconformances and cost impact.

Audits & Compliance

Lead internal and external audits, identify deficiencies, and drive timely corrective actions.
Ensure documentation (maintenance records, aircraft forms, publications) meets regulatory and customer requirements.

Leadership & Team Development

Lead a crossfunctional quality team, fostering an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives thrive.
Coach staff on problemsolving, Lean, SixSigma, and continuousimprovement techniques.

Risk & Performance Management

Integrate quality metrics into project performance planning, risk management, cost, schedule, and factory accountability.
Communicate status and recommendations to senior leadership and external partners.

Customer & Stakeholder Relations

Build trusted relationships with CBP, contractors, and internal stakeholders; ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
Deliver clear, engaging communications that keep the organization aligned and motivated.

Innovation & Change

Champion innovative quality tools and technologies (digital twins, AIdriven analytics) to meet evolving customer requirements.
Respond rapidly to program changes, adjusting processes to sustain highquality output.

Basic Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree.

Experience

5years in aircraft/aerospace or hightech maintenance or manufacturing quality roles.
23years of supervisory/lead experience.

Technical

Proven expertise with AS9100, aircraft maintenance forms, and publications.
Handson experience with accident/incident reporting, rootcause analysis, and correctiveaction tracking.
Ability to conduct statistical analysis and interpret inspection data.

Clearance

Ability to obtain and maintain Customs and Border Protection Background Investigation (CBP).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM field
  • Lean SixSigma Black Belt or certification.
  • P-3 flightline and aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Depot level aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Quality assurance or quality management experience.
  • Aircraft maintenance technician.
  • Experience with reliability engineering, failuremode analysis, and riskbased decision making.
  • Demonstrated success influencing change in dynamic, fastpaced environments.
  • Deep understanding of government regulations, complex quality policies, and workflow integration.
Primary Level Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
