Boralex has been providing renewable and affordable energy for over 30 years. The Group, composed of more than 800 employees, operatesrenewable assets with an installed capacity of over 3 GW and is developing a project portfolio of 6.8 GW in wind, solar, and energy storage.
Welcome to the Asset Management Department:
The Asset Management Department is a strategic player in maximizing the value and performance of our energy sites. It ensures rigorous and proactive asset management to optimize profitability, sustainability, and alignment with corporate goals.
You will play an important role in:
  • Perform regular and unscheduled preventive maintenance of wind turbines;
  • Check physical and electrical integrity of the turbine, Cable management, Current and capacitance readings, Cleaning.
  • Be proactive in regard to wind turbine maintenance to prevent equipment failure or degradation;
  • Monitor performance of wind turbines;
  • power output, temperatures, cooling fan current draw.
  • Perform diagnosis and repairs on wind turbines;
  • In the event of a breakdown, promptly respond and quickly provide a solution;
  • Replace motors, fans, cables, sensors, control circuit boards, lighting, pumps
  • Mentor new staff and teach them theory and practical aspects of the job
  • Review and contribute to the creation of instructional documents and procedures
  • Participate in technical committees sharing and addressing turbine issues
  • Participate in achieving OHS goals and objectives
  • Inspect PPE - harnesses, rescue equipment, etc

To succeed in this position, you need:
  • Good knowledge of the electrical energy environment and hydraulic engineering;
  • Confined space, and precision skills;
  • Demonstrate a good sense of innovation and ability to multi-task;
  • Excellent capacity for thorough analysis;
  • Good organizational skills and autonomy;
  • Good collaboration and communication skills;

Compensation
The expected annual base salary range for this position is $52 000-$70 000. This range includes the target value of the annual Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP).
