Job Title: Painter

Job Description

This role focuses on preparing, painting, and finishing equipment and components on returned equipments using professional paint booth and spray equipment. You will handle all aspects of surface preparation, coating application, and touch-up work while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. The position also supports general shop operations and requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform all preparation work prior to painting, including cleaning, masking, and detailed surface preparation.
• Operate a paint booth and paint sprayer to apply coatings to equipment and components on returned rental units.
• Sand and smooth surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion and a high-quality finish.
• Mix, apply, shape, and sand body filler as part of surface preparation to repair imperfections.
• Assemble and disassemble units as needed to access surfaces and complete painting tasks.
• Assist with general shop duties when required to support overall operations.
• Maintain inventory control of paint materials, supplies, and equipment in the work area.
• Follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment while working in the paint booth and shop.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of automotive or manufacturing painting experience.
• At least 1 year of paint booth and paint sprayer operation experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of surface preparation, including sanding, cleaning, and masking.
• At least 1 year of body filler application experience preferred, including mixing, application, shaping, and sanding.
• Familiarity with auto body or equipment refinishing processes is beneficial.

Work Environment

This position follows a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing predictable daytime hours in a shop and paint booth environment. You will work with professional painting equipment, including a paint booth, paint sprayers, and related tools, while adhering to safety and quality standards. Personal protective equipment is provided and required, including a hood and respirator pack, with steel-toe footwear supported through an annual reimbursement program of up to $150. Prescription safety glasses are available for those who need them, contributing to a safe and well-equipped workplace focused on both productivity and employee protection.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $54080.00/yr.
