Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintenance of dies within a timely manner
  • Ensure tools are ready according to production schedule
  • Monitor production status of dies
  • Drive quality improvements of tools based on changeover times hits/hour, and quality.
  • Order spare parts and Tool components,
  • Meet with outside Die shops and obtains quotes for any work to be sub-contracted.
  • Address employee suggestions as required and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Keeps management informed daily - no surprises.
  • Comply with all ISO14001 TS16949 standards.
  • Reviews requirement and monitors daily quality status of production tooling to ensure total defect free shipments.
  • Performs customer visits as required.
  • Ensures equipment breakdowns and downtime is dealt with immediately.
  • Coordinate implement and monitor effectiveness of all initiatives generated to improve productivity, safety, and report back when done and any other duties that may be assigned.
  • Maintains timely records and information.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

General
  • Complies with the designated IATF16949 responsibilities, environmental management system, health & safety and company rules and guidelines.
  • Ensures company safety policies are adhered to and safe work habits are utilized by all department personnel and visitors. Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as always required
  • Maintains a high standard of general housekeeping consistent with 5S standards.
  • Strives for continuous improvement

Position Qualifications
  • Currently working towards obtaining a valid Tool & Die Makers Certificate and 3 to 5 years of job-related experience.
