Job description

This is a remote position.

Are you an experienced accounting professional with a tax background, ready to grow into a leadership role as we build our US tax practice?

BooksTime is looking for an experienced, tax-savvy accountant who is excited about leadership, technology, and strong client relationships. This is a unique opportunity to start by doing the high-level senior accounting work you already do well — and then, little by little, grow into a Senior Tax Manager role, taking ownership of our US tax engagements and eventually helping lead the tax practice as it scales.

BooksTime is proud to be recognized on the Inc. 5000 list of America's fastest-growing private companies. We're building a modern, technology-forward accounting company that embraces automation and innovation — alongside trusted partner relationships with our clients — to create better experiences for both clients and team members.

If you're looking for meaningful work, real career growth, flexibility, and the chance to help shape a tax practice from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.

Why Join BooksTime?

A Clear Path into Tax Leadership

You'll begin in a senior accounting capacity and progressively take on more tax responsibility — reviewing returns, building processes, and ultimately helping lead our US tax practice. We promote from within and invest in people who want to grow.

High-Impact Work

You'll work directly with business owners and leadership teams to improve financial visibility, accounting operations, and tax outcomes — and your decisions will shape how the practice runs.

Modern Accounting Environment

We embrace technology, automation, process improvement, and AI-enabled tools to continuously improve the way we serve clients and support our teams.

Variety & Continuous Learning

Our clients span multiple industries, systems, and business models, providing constant opportunities to learn, grow, and solve new challenges.
