As a Controller at BooksTime, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor and accounting lead for a portfolio of clients while collaborating with an international bookkeeping team to deliver exceptional financial support and service.

Requirements

What You'll Do:


As a Controller, you will:

  • Lead accounting relationships for a portfolio of clients

  • Build trusted advisor relationships with clients

  • Review and analyze financial statements

  • Serve as a high-level accounting resource for complex issues

  • Support and mentor bookkeeping teams

  • Collaborate with internal teams on special projects and process initiatives

This role focuses on oversight, advisory work, problem-solving, and relationship management.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Comfortable leading client relationships independently

  • Friendly, professional, and an excellent communicator

  • Experienced in accounting for multiple small businesses or organizations

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Adaptable and comfortable learning new technologies

  • Comfortable working in a fully remote environment

Ideal backgrounds may include:

  • Controller/CFO

  • Accounting Manager

  • Client Advisory Services (CAS)

  • Outsourced Accounting

  • Public accounting or bookkeeping firm experience

Experience with cloud-based accounting systems is required. We work with clients using a wide variety of tools and platforms, so adaptability is important.
