We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support daily financial operations for a growing team in South Carolina. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining accurate records, keeping accounting activities on schedule, and contributing to a well-organized finance function. The position will play a key role in handling core bookkeeping processes, supporting monthly close activities, and helping ensure reliable financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day invoice and payment activity, ensuring outgoing payments and incoming customer receipts are recorded accurately and on time.
• Complete account reconciliation work across banking records and ledger balances to maintain clean and dependable financial data.
• Process payroll entries and related bookkeeping tasks with close attention to accuracy, timing, and compliance.
• Support the monthly close cycle by reviewing transactions, organizing records, and preparing accounting data for period-end reporting.
• Maintain fixed asset records and create depreciation schedules to support accurate tracking of long-term assets.
• Prepare trial balance information and assist in confirming that financial records are complete and properly aligned.
• Provide guidance and workflow oversight to accounting support staff, including clerical team members and entry-level bookkeeping personnel.• Hands-on experience in bookkeeping, including management of core financial records and transactions.
