Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a team in South Carolina in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This position will support daily financial operations, maintain accurate records, and help ensure timely reporting across core accounting activities. The ideal candidate brings strong bookkeeping experience, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured environment.
Responsibilities:
• Create accurate financial reports and maintain organized accounting records to support business operations.
• Handle incoming and outgoing transactions by managing vendor payments and customer invoicing activities.
• Complete bank account and general ledger reconciliations to ensure balances are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Process payroll in a timely manner while maintaining compliance with company policies and reporting requirements.
• Monitor fixed assets and maintain depreciation schedules to support accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and submit quarterly tax-related documentation and supporting records as needed.
• Lead month-end close activities, including reviewing entries and confirming account accuracy.
• Provide guidance and day-to-day oversight to accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeeping staff.
