Accounting Associate

Step into the future as a key member of a small dynamic hands-on sustainable accounting and finance team. You'll join a rapidly growing innovative Seacoast NH producer of patented plant-based ingredients used in new generations of consumer products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, personable, and grounded in bookkeeping and accounting operations. The expected work schedule is 30-40 hours a week, during the day from Monday to Friday with agreed scheduled hours.

What You'll Do as an Accounting Associate

  • Play an important role in keeping Itaconix's accounting operations running smoothly across sales orders, accounts receivable, purchase orders, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, treasury processes, inventory, work orders, payroll, general ledger, and fixed assets.
  • Take ownership of accounts payable activities, helping maintain strong supplier relationships and timely financial obligations.
  • Support department and project budgeting so teams have the financial insight they need to allocate resources effectively.
  • Help ensure accurate inventory and delivery cost reporting for a growing, hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Contribute to the half-year review and annual audit process by supporting the accounting team and independent audit firm.
  • Jump into special projects that strengthen the accounting function, such as helping implement an accounting policy handbook.
  • Bring energy, accuracy, curiosity, and teamwork to a small, fast-moving company focused on safer, more sustainable consumer products.

Qualifications of the Accounting Associate

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in business, accounting, or finance is required.
  2. Understanding of accounting policies and internal controls.
  3. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  4. Experience with accounting software is preferred.

Pay starts at $25/hour or higher based on experience and capabilities with regular reviews and advancement based on performance.
