Job description

LHH is partnering with a growing professional services firm in Cincinnati, OH to identify a Bookkeeper for a direct-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys managing multiple client accounts, providing full-charge bookkeeping support, and building trusted relationships with clients. The selected candidate will work with a portfolio of approximately 20 clients across various industries and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting monthly accounting functions.
This position offers the opportunity to join a collaborative, team-oriented office environment where employees have the ability to make an immediate impact. While the primary focus is bookkeeping, candidates with tax preparation or tax support experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
  • Provide full-charge bookkeeping services for a portfolio of client accounts
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash applications, billing, and vendor/customer account maintenance
  • Prepare and post journal entries, perform bank and account reconciliations, and maintain general ledger activity
  • Generate trial balances, financial statements, and other client reporting packages
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules
  • Communicate directly with clients to answer questions, resolve issues, and provide ongoing accounting support
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience, preferably supporting multiple clients or entities
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and general accounting principles
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and month-end close activities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and client deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
  • Tax preparation or tax support experience is helpful but not required.
