Job description

General Definition:

  • This position requires working at The County Regional Central Booking Center inside the Lehigh County Prison and involves supervising employees in the processing of suspected criminals such as; photographing, fingerprinting, DUI testing and monitoring arraignments.

Typical Examples of Work:

  • Hiring and training of new employees
  • Scheduling employees to maintain operation of Central Booking
  • Writing and enforcing policies
  • Monitoring flow of defendants through Central Booking
  • Working with numerous County offices so as to continue continuity between departments

Required Knowledge:

  • Ability to interact with employees
  • Knowledge of the LIVESCAN and CPIN process
  • Basic understanding the PSP AFIS system
  • Basic fingerprint knowledge
  • Basic computer knowledge

Acceptable Training and Experience:

  • Education equivalent to a high school diploma with two years experience as a Police Officer or an Associates Degree or any other equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience which has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities cited above.
