Job description

Nordson Product Assembly, a global leader in Product Assembly, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we are looking for candidates who share that same commitment.
Summary of the role
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where your ideas and contributions will be valued and respected.
Location: Duluth, GA
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Position Type: Temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent
As a Production Assembler, you will be responsible for assembly, testing, and packaging of industrial precision dispensing equipment. Duties will involve a variety of tasks but are not limited to those listed below.
  • Assemble, test, and package equipment while following quality, productivity, and safety requirements
  • Perform basic wiring and read/interpret basic electrical wiring diagrams
  • Follow work instructions, reference drawings, bills of material, and quality procedures
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and calibrated power tools during assembly
  • Use gauges, meters, and measuring tools to verify dimensions, electrical specifications, and alignment
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve product failures
  • Use a computer to view drawings and complete production-related tasks
  • Rotate to different work areas as production needs change

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience reading basic electrical wiring diagrams - REQUIRED
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Manufacturing/industrial experience; the current job description calls for 4+ years
  • Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on, detail-oriented work
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work well with others and adapt to changing assignments
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and computers
