Job Description โ€” Build Book CoordinatorOverview

Seeking a detail-oriented Build Book Coordinator/Engineer to support manufacturing and engineering teams by creating and maintaining build documentation for prototype, pre-production, and final production vehicle builds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) structures for large assemblies.
  • Create, maintain, and update build books and related documentation.
  • Track engineering changes (ECNs) and ensure updates are reflected in build documentation.
  • Coordinate with platform teams, BOM coordinators, and manufacturing teams.
  • Generate BOM structure reports for authorized part number tracking.
  • Maintain revision history and document control within build books.
  • Participate in BOM audits, build book audits, and VA audits.
  • Create assembly-stage images and visual instructions for manufacturing teams.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing plants and support plant visits when required.
  • Release build books for DV, PV, and SOP vehicle builds.
Required Skills
  • Knowledge of BOM structures and large assembly management.
  • Experience with PLM/Windchill systems.
  • Basic Creo knowledge.
  • Strong Excel and Word documentation skills.
  • Data management experience.
  • Ability to support engineering change tracking and manufacturing coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in motorcycle or automotive industry.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing engineering or prototype build environments.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
