Your work hours will generally adhere to standard business times, with some flexibility for occasional evening and weekend events aimed at community engagement and outreach.

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the social, emotional, and psychological needs of clients, tailoring interventions for each individual or family.
• Provide individual and group counseling utilizing evidence-based approaches to support clients dealing with mental health challenges, transitions, and trauma.
• Create, implement, and monitor service plans that align with the goals and aspirations of your clients, facilitating regular reviews and adjustments as necessary.
• Actively advocate for the rights of clients, connecting them to essential resources while championing social justice initiatives both within and outside the organization.
• Engage in program development and evaluation, sharing insights and feedback to enhance service delivery and assist with grant reporting processes.
• Collaborate strategically with various agencies, nonprofits, and volunteers to bolster the level of services provided to clients, enhancing community support and outreach.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, team meetings, and community forums to enhance knowledge and practice.

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals and families facing a range of challenges such as emotional distress, trauma, economic instability, and social marginalization. Your interactions will be grounded in trauma-informed care principles, ensuring that clients feel safe, respected, and supported as they navigate their personal journeys towards healing and empowerment.

• Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Demonstrated understanding of social justice advocacy, community resources, and trauma-informed care principles.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, characterized by empathy and the ability to connect with clients and colleagues alike.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage a diverse caseload effectively.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a nonprofit or educational setting, providing direct social work services.
• Familiarity with community resource networks specific to Memphis, Tennessee.
• Experience with evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, or similar methodologies.
