Job description

Title: Project Coordinator, Bond & Permit Release

Type: Full time, exempt (salary)

Location: Reston, VA

Reports To: Director of Bond Release

DFM Development Services continues to grow our team to better serve our clients. We are seeking to hire a full-time Coordinator to assist with our growing Bond Release Services division. The preferred candidate will have relevant working experience in the land development and site development industries, strong customer service and a clear understanding of the bond release process.

Responsibilities:

  • Site visits to document the project status.
  • Meetings with County personnel.
  • Manage and communicate with utility companies.
  • Observe construction activities in the field.
  •  Prepare and deliver bond documents to County and State jurisdictions.
  •  Utilize computer software to organize project documents.
  •  Generate digital copy of punch lists and associated plans to send to clients. 
  •  Support Bond Management Director and Senior Project Managers.
  • Review construction plans and plats.

 

Qualifications:

  • At a minimum 2 years of experience in construction, homebuilding or real estate development industries
  • Strong professional communicator and organizational skills
  • Permit applicaton and processing knowledge is preferred. 
  • Experience using office technology suite; Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with reading construction plans
