Job description

  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED), 6 months general related experience and/or current enrollment in accredited technical school steam systems/maintenance program
  2. Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple 2 and 3-part instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  3. Ability to write simple correspondence
  4. Ability to effectively communicate to boiler operators and Boiler Supervisor problems and recommendations
  5. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  6. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent; or to effectively learn these skills within a prescribed probationary period
  7. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instruction
  8. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
